Meet our horses!

Aurora

Aurora is a Connemara/Paint cross who came to us through the NHSPCA in November of 2021. She was a neglect case but has demonstrated that she has had some excellent training in her past. Aurora teaches kids and adults, beginners-intermediate riders from the basics up through 2nd level dressage movements and does a little jumping too!

Aurora loves to show riders how balance and relaxation help create a supple horse. Full of attitude and opinions, she is absolutely adored by her riders and all of us.

Zip

Zip is a quarter horse in her mid-late teens and is a complete sweetheart. We don’t know much about her past but she enjoys work and appreciates soft riders. Zip helps lots of our students understand softness in contact. She is fantastic on the trail, in the ring, or even popping over jumps.

Tuffy

Tuffy is a 15-year-old OTTB who has been with us at the farm for almost four years. By far one of the silliest horses on the farm, he loves to play, and he’ll steal your heart when he snuggles with you. He was impressive on the track, racing until he was 10 with 64 starts – a “warhorse”- but now he is definitely happy to be going slower!

Tuffy teaches all levels of riders and absolutely adores “his” kids – which includes all the kids that come to the farm, whether they ride him or not. He may be a bigger horse, but he takes care of his riders like a dream.

Bell

Bell is the newest addition to the farm, a 19 year old OTTB who raced under the name Cat Eyes. She is another warhorse, having won over $172,000! She came to us through NHSPCA late 2022. Bell is a solid girl for all levels of riders and has some lovely dressage skills. She is also another fabulous trail horse. We are excited to see what she brings to the program!
